India is the land of Gods and Temples. Our Gods have enchanting mythological importance and so do the temples. Each God have a story exclusive for them alone. Temples built to house the Gods have mythological, historical and architectural importance. Places associated with the Gods and the temples too have their own importance. So we have stories about Gods, temples, places, miracles associate with them, so on so forth.

This is about a temple which was discovered recently and has been built in a elaborate fashion to house the family deities of the Urs family, the family deities who were far forgotten or ignored by the forefathers of the present clan.

It all started when Mr.Sridhar Raj Urs, accidentally met a lady who was also an astrologer way back in 1995 at a friend’s place in London. A conversation struck between the astrologer and Mr.Sridhar Raj Urs when he mentioned that their family diety was Lord Hanuman, which the lady negate and said that their family deity were indeed two Maathas (Mothers) who were worshipped by his forefathers. She also went on to include that the deities were housed in a small temple without doors and behind the temple two tall trees stand even to this day. Mr. Sridhar Raj Urs was surprised but nevertheless when he returned to India he enquired about the same with his parents. This surprised them too as they had been worshipping Lord Hanuman as their family deity.No one from either of the families were even aware of this . Their ancestors hailed from Chikkamagaluru and Mysore. Enquiries in the ancesteral home town did not reveal anything. However , Mr.Sridhar Raj Urs was looking out for a temple with two Maathas / Ammas with two tall trees behind but in vain.
